Shopping for your boy's swimwear is a great way to prep for Summer!  And part of that getting ready is shopping for all your little one's swim needs for the beach, pool or park.  And if you have a boy, the fashions for 2012 include bright, bold colors.  Here are some of my favorite picks:

Today, I was thrilled to learn that the American Academy of Pediatrics claims that less than 2 hours of TV per day is not harmful for a 2 year old. Woo hoooo! That means that I have 1 hour and 59 minutes per day to use the TV as a babysitter for my 2-year-old, guilt free, right?

If you are like me, you are ready for summer to get here!  And part of that getting ready is shopping for all your little one's swim needs for the beach, pool or park.  And if you have a girl, it seems like the fashions are still pink, floral and lots of ruffles.  Here are some of my favorite picks:

I now LOVE bath time with my boys.  Mostly because they are always in a great mood (no matter how fussy they were through dinner), they love the water thanks to early swim lessons, and after a quick scrub and shampoo, they will play, splash, sing and yell all on their own so I don’t have to entertain them.

Since my week has been mostly revolving around potty training, I thought I would offer up some great products I have found to help with the task. We are four days in and having a very successful day, but I could not have done it without some training aids! Here are some of my favorites:

When it was time to consider whether or not to send my oldest child to preschool I had what I would consider a mild case of Holy moly, his entire emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual development and self-confidence hinges on my making the right decision, and if I make the wrong choice, I have forever ruined him anxiety.  I remember talking to the school Director on the phone, trying to get her to decide for me whether or not my two year old was ready for preschool.  Two days a week.  Three hours at a time.

This question comes up a lot in mom circles: "How do I know if my child is ready for potty training?" Every child (and parent) is different but there are a few signs that children start to display when they are ready for this next step. As a mom who loves "early potty training" or starting right at two, I can attest to some signs being for sure a must and others negotiable, so my comments are included. Here is a list of ten signs that you can begin training:

I love having a daughter. I love doing new things with her that I never did with my son. One thing I have been looking forward to is a Tea Party! So for her second birthday, I planned a small little tea party for 4 or 5 of her little friends (all around 2 years old). Since my baby girl (I can still call her that for a little longer, right!?!?) has food allergies to milk, egg, and peanut, I had to be a little creative with my menu.
